Top question categories
What it is
Top question categories classify visitor messages into a fixed set of themes—Pricing & Plans, Product Features, Integration & Setup, Use Cases & Fit, Support & Reliability, and General Inquiry. The Overview chart shows each category’s share of sessions (up to six slices) so you can see what people ask about most. Related objection categories are tracked separately on the same page.
Why it helps
Aggregate categories turn hundreds of chats into a prioritization list: if “Integration & Setup” dominates, you may need better docs or onboarding; if “Pricing & Plans” leads, your pricing page or sales motion may need clarity.
You can align marketing, product, and support work with real visitor language instead of internal assumptions.
How to get the most out of it
Review the chart whenever you refresh site copy or ship a major feature; shifts in the mix tell you what the next landing page or help article should address.
When one category is unexpectedly small, check whether visitors find answers elsewhere or simply bounce—combine with analytics KPIs and qualitative reads of individual conversations.
